Position: Sales District Director, Enterprise Sales Team (Hi-Touch)
Location: Tokyo (Nagatacho, Chiyoda-ku)
Reports to: RVP Sales, Japan
Why This Role
Lead your own sales division at a growing company. You will own business planning and strategy, people management, and future recruiting, with real influence over how the team grows
This opportunity lets you experience both the AI & Data Management Solutions business and the flash memory storage and infrastructure business
About the Role
Everpure is growing, and we are hiring a Sales District Director to lead one of our enterprise sales teams in Japan. As Japanese enterprises modernize their data infrastructure for AI adoption, cyber resilience, and hybrid cloud operations, this role will shape how we serve them.
You will build and grow a high-performing team of Account Executives (AEs) and own results across forecasting, territory strategy, new account development, and channel partner growth. You will manage three to five Enterprise AEs and one Inside Sales Representative, and work closely with a dedicated Pre-Sales Engineer. You will build trust with IT leaders at major Japanese enterprises, guide the team through complex, long-cycle deals, and turn coordinated effort into closed business.
What You’ll Do
Lead and develop a team of Enterprise AEs serving major customers, embedding Everpure’s culture and values in how the team works
Hire and onboard additional AEs as the business grows
Equip the team to lead strategic conversations on AI and data readiness, cyber resilience, and hybrid and multi-cloud data management
Collaborate with the extended district sales team, including Systems Engineers, Partner Account Managers, and Inside Sales, to align customer and partner strategy
Drive team performance against key KPIs (pipeline growth, partner alignment, forecast accuracy, and POC management), maintaining a pipeline of at least 4x quota
Build and deepen relationships with channel partners (distributors, resellers, and system integrators), including their executives, sales leaders, and AEs, and jointly plan and develop accounts with them
Lead by example by joining key customer and partner meetings and coaching every team member to meet or exceed quota
Travel regularly to customer and partner sites, within Tokyo and across Japan, to stay close to the business
Deliver annual bookings targets, new logo growth, and AE quota attainment.
Run weekly activity and pipeline reviews to identify and close gaps early
Apply analytical thinking, including data and AI-enabled sales tools, to solve problems and shape team strategy
Manage performance with clarity, consistency, and accountability
What You Bring
5+ years of field sales management experience in the high-tech industry, such as AI, data management, software, or SaaS
Sales management experience in storage or core IT infrastructure in a competitive market is a strong plus
A track record of selling to IT departments and IT leadership at large enterprise accounts
Experience building and managing partner-led sales motions within Japan’s system integrator and distributor ecosystem
Proven success recruiting, coaching, and retaining strong sales talent
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to articulate Everpure’s value clearly and credibly to executives
A strong organizational, process-driven, and detail-oriented approach
Sound judgment in balancing competing priorities and getting to the root of problems
The ability to mobilize internal resources (system engineers, support, marketing and global teams) to execute complex sales strategies
Fluency with CRM and sales enablement tools
Language Requirements
Japanese: Native level, for working with Japanese customers and partners
English: Conversational level, for collaborating with global teams
Work Style
This is primarily an in-office role based in the Tokyo office (Nagatacho), per Everpure’s policies, except during approved PTO, business travel, or other approved leave
