License

immit grants you a non-exclusive license to call the API and to use, cache and redistribute the data it returns inside your own product or service. You may not resell, sublicense or republish the dataset, in whole or in substantial part, as a dataset, nor offer a service whose main value is the data itself.

Attribution

A product that shows dictionary data from the API carries the line "Dictionary data by immit" with a link to immit.co, visible where the data is shown or in the product's about page.

Keys and accounts

A key identifies your account. Keep it secret, never ship it in a browser or a client application, and revoke it from the console if it leaks. You are responsible for every request made with your keys.

Limits and fair use

Each tier sets a daily quota and a burst rate. Walking the headword list to copy the dictionary is a breach of this license whatever the tier. immit may suspend a key that behaves like a mirror and will say so by email first.

Payment

Paid tiers are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. A failed payment keeps the tier for a grace period and then returns the account to the free tier.

Changes to the API

Changes under /v1 are additive. A removal or a rename is a new version, announced in the changelog with a migration window.

Termination

Either side may end this agreement at any time. Cached data may be kept for thirty days after the last request and then deleted.
